Kira, homage to the vineyard’s first farm dog.

The Cubby
Constructed of locally sourced materials, the exterior of the tiny home is clad in Rose Gum, left to grey overtime to resemble the surrounding gums.

Featuring large windows with direct views across the vineyard and rolling hills, batten screens, made from recycled cladding, slide the length of the cabin to give privacy and shade.

At one end of the cabin is a dark and earthy bathroom area, complete with a ceiling-mounted tap to mimic catching rain in the bush and a custom-made concrete vanity, colour matched to the soil of the surrounding area.

A concrete island bench floats through the centre of the cabin, complete with a bar seating area, cooktop and farmhouse-style sink. An inbuilt bed nook sits at the other end of the cabin, enclosed by ash cladding; the perfect oversized window seat for relaxing with a cuppa.

The Name
Affectionately named after the first dog of Yarrh Wines, Kira. “Kira’s Crossing” can be found over the creek on the North Eastern side of the vineyard.

She was a beautiful older rescue dog who kept Fiona company when the owners first moved to the property and Neil was often working in town.
